Know somethings about concrete

Concrete is a composite construction mixture of cement, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate and water. The proportions of each material control the strength and quality of the resultant concrete.

Cement is the setting agent of concrete, commonly Portland cement, and other cementitious materials such as fly ash and slag cement, serve as a binder for the aggregate. The aggregate is generally a coarse gravel or crushed rocks such as limestone, or granite, along with a fine aggregate such as sand.

Concrete is widely used for making architectural structures, foundations, brick/block walls, pavements, bridges/overpasses, runways, parking structures, dams, footings for gates, fences and poles.

Now, let's look some pictures about the use of concrete in infrastructure.
